**What the role is**
- As an Assistant Engineer (Shift) with the Catchment & Waterways Department / Reservoir Management/ Tidal Gate Operator team, your roles and responsibilities would include but not limited to:
**What you will be working on**
- Monitor water level in the reservoir and to carry out gate operation in accordance with the Standing Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Operate stop logs/Tidal gates at the tidal gates as and when required
- Operate valves/pumps for the transfer of raw water between reservoirs in accordance with the SOP
- Monitor water quality, collect water samples and take appropriate mitigating measures in accordance with SOP
- Carry out administration work including generation of Work Orders, Completion Certificate and quotation
- Inspect other contractors' work, e.g. reservoir maintenance, aquatic plants removal, flotsam removal
- Patrol reservoir, catchment area, pumping stations, dams, intake towers, infrastructures, and pipelines etc.
- Carry out enforcement work at the reservoir
- Attend to emergency situation and assist in activities/events organised at the reservoir
- Drive PUB vehicle whenever required

**What we are looking for**
- Diploma in Civil/ Environmental/ Mechanical/

Electrical / Electronics Engineering or relevant experience in reservoir operations work
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and possess a positive, can-do attitude
- Able to perform field work and on shift (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Preferably possess Class 3 Driving licence

Work Location: Kranji Reservoir
