Plan and prepare throughout the year for effective social and emotional support to students through productive play.
- Support an environment that is conducive to play.
- Manage and supervise playground activities.
- Manage a small team of playground ambassadors who assist with playground activities.
- Effectively manage each group of students while providing for a variety of learning styles, ability levels, and educational backgrounds.
- Individualize the content when necessary to meet each student’s learning needs.
- Maintain rigorous and appropriate expectations of all students at all times.
- Ensure that the school's health and safety rules are followed when interacting with students and
- encouraging appropriate play.
- Manage student behavior, work with teachers, counselors, deans, instructional assistants, and administration where appropriate.
- Collaborate with Administrators to design competent recreation strategies to cater to each student’s needs.
- Continuously monitor students’ social and emotional play and make appropriate modifications of goals and strategies to meet students’ needs.
- Keep current in education through coursework, in-service programs, and by attending professional meetings and conferences, as required.
- Remain proficient in school related technologies, as applicable to your role.
- Remain open and flexible in your daily work assignments to meet the dynamic needs of the school.

- Engage with the administration and faculty in a committed manner.
- Openly support and abide by all school policies and procedures.

- Liaise with the Principal and faculty members, taking on tasks as assigned, including all school goals.

Skills/Requirements
**Qualifications Required**:
- Completion of a student teaching experience
- Experience with current best practices, current teaching materials, and current instructional strategies as well as recent professional growth activities (Preschool through Grade 5)
- Focused on social and emotional learning through productive game play
- Models SAS Core Values (Compassion, Honesty, Fairness, Responsibility, Respect)
