**About the Job**:
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical and expert legal advice on a broad range of legal issues including but not limited to intellectual property law, research collaboration agreements, contracts, disputes, regulatory requirements, employment law, and governance matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments within the university, providing legal risk management and strategic advice to internal stakeholders.
- Develop/update contract templates and general contract management.
- Conduct legal research and provide updates on changes in legislation.
- Advise, improve, or develop University policies and processes.
- Assist with, or lead, strategic initiatives for the University.

**Job Requirements**:

- A Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) and admission to the Singapore Bar.
- A minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience, with a requirement of experience in intellectual property law.
- Proven experience as a legal counsel in a business environment, with good knowledge of commercial, intellectual property and general contract negotiations
- Experience in higher education, research and development or a related legal field will be viewed favourably.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; sound judgement.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; adept at engaging with internal and external stakeholders across all organisational levels.
- Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a “can-do” attitude; flexibility and willingness to work on a broad range of matters.
