Turnaround Engineer

Overall Purpose

Responsible for the execution of the Turnaround coordination scope of work, guaranteeing the achievement of

project's objectives, by compiling and executing the work scope accordingly to the stipulated specifications and

within the required quality, schedule, budget (cost control) and HSEQ premises.

Core Responsibilities

Support the MdB's corporate annual budget planning (expenses and investments) for the Turnaround

coordination, by providing information based on previous experiences, technical knowledge and best practices of

the market.

Contribute to continuous improvement of IMS by following up and filling in projects status and updating and

monitoring the implementation of IMS Documents under Turnaround coordination.

Coordinate planning activities ensuring engineering, procurement and construction schedules and ensuring that

project's goals are met by detailed planning and resource management.

Contribute to safeguarding MODEC from noncompliance to technical specifications and/or standards by meeting

all technical specifications and procedures regarding the Turnaround Projects.

Analyzing and validating the Maintenance Services Forecast, as well as monitoring the integrated maintenance plan.

Lead the execution of the Project for both Operations and Organization, playing a proactive role in problems

solving & prevention and identifying potential risk factors, which may impact the schedule, identifying, managing

and controlling changes.

Ensure execution procedures strictly follow drawings, specifications and applicable legislation requirements.

Prepare and perform the Kick-Off Meetings, ensuring the proper overview of the projects, adherence of HSE

strategy, information on the unit, planning premises, risks already mapped, opportunities and lessons learned

from other projects of the unit and fleet.

Ensure that the Turnaround Projects of MODEC's fleet are planned and executed in an optimized and integrated

way (SPIE Activities, Metering, Project, Operation, External Customer, etc.) by developing Project Master

Schedules and Project Execution Schedules, defining the project histogram and defining/freezing projects scope.

Lead the coordination of offshore activities during execution phase by monitoring and reporting project progress,

following up the fulfillment of deadlines, costs and quality of the deliveries, and providing support for project

coordinators with timely response in case of anomalies identified or unexpected events, as well as providing

corporate support whenever required.

Ensure that the Financing Framework for Turnaround Projects are implemented based on what was planned by

monitoring and controlling the overall budget.

Collaborate to the development of Lessons Learned by preparing, issuing and presenting close-out reports, with

all the relevant information and acquired knowledge of the projects to identify improvement opportunities for

future development and sharing knowledge along the fleet, and by closing all turnaround Work Orders in CMMS.

Manage and avoid unexpected and extra costs, by gathering and approving all Measurement Bulletins.

Ensure backload and the return of all equipment, tools and materials belonging to contractors and suppliers, by

properly following-up all cases.

Execute the Risk Assessment and Risk Management processes of the projects, by performing Risk Assessment

brainstorming with the necessary stakeholders, compiling and analyzing all the risks raised, issuing the Risk

Register, identifying possible Response Plan actions and monitoring the progress these actions.

Ensure all systems/equipment are reestablished to regular performance after the project completion and properly handed over to operation.

Interact with Operations Managers and Operations teams in order to align the project premises, allowing a proper planning, and to approve the requests for Management of Scope Change, after evaluating the possible project impacts.

Establish an integration with internal and external stakeholders (other areas of the company, clients, vendors,

etc..) and/or external customers by preparing and performing periodic meetings to align project activities

planning, details and requirements and to present the progress of the project.

Interact with Procurement Department to develop a Procurement Plan based on the resources required for each

job to be performed (materials, services and equipment), controlling the POs and following up with the

department the status of the materials/services requested and the return of vendor's tools and equipment.

Interact with Logistics Department to follow up with the progress of verification of vendors personnel to embark

during the project execution.
