What you’ll do

Leading the development & execution of the local sourcing strategies that delivers a competitive advantage driving the strategic supplier initiatives.

This includes supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance

Leading sourcing execution for assigned commodity(s) or suppliers, including full accountability for buy and meeting deflation targets.

Performing detailed cost analysis of components & manufacturing processes used by our suppliers to ensure highest quality at the lowest cost solution.

Monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance and developing improvement strategies to ensure business needs are met.

Partnering with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material and services meet the needs of the business.

Becoming a commodity expert for the assigned commodities

Develop negotiation strategies and drive negotiations with strategic suppliers to achieve stated goals and objectives

Working with businesses and suppliers to manage and track implementation of supply agreements

Communicating to business General Managers and other senior staff, obtain sign-off for projects

Leading virtual teams with point persons in each business

Driving improvements in sourcing processes including escalations due to delivery/quality issues, invoicing/payables issues, and database management.

Drive sourcing strategic initiatives to ensure optimal cost productivity, fulfillment, and obsolescence/life-cycle management by leveraging standardization and latest industry practices.

Building deep relationships with Strategic Suppliers Relationships driving early supplier engagement into Cytiva's New Product Introduction (NPI) process, and long-term partnership for wing-to-wing product lifecycle.

Who you are

Bachelor's degree (preferably in Chemical, Engineering or technical discipline) with 5 years' work experience in sourcing or procurement or 9 years work experience in sourcing or procurement.

3 years' work experience with technical depth/knowledge in assigned commodities, or 3 years of Commercial Sourcing, Supply Chain or Engineering experience

Prior experience in presenting with external suppliers, and proficiency in negotiating and executing commercial contracts

High level of analytical skills and experience in driving global tender processes

Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of time

Excellent negotiations skills and analytical skills with the ability to handle and develop supplier relationships

Ability to energize, develop and establish rapport at all levels within an organization

Track record of executing and delivering on commitments

Experience implementing a compliant supply chain

Strong business/financial acumen, proficient in leading and setting direction for teams, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and inspire change globally and across all levels of the organization.

Strong leadership skills demonstrating clear global perspective and understand factors impacting Cytiva businesses and our suppliers
