**Activities Supporting Each Key Result Area**

**Planning and Delivery of Visual Art Training**
- Conduct Pre-Admission Assessments: Assess students' strengths, interests, and potential barriers to participation in visual art training services under Artability.
- Build Rapport with Students: Establish trusting relationships with students to understand their unique aspirations and life experiences, recognizing how these factors influence their artistic development.
- Formulate Person-Centric Training Plans: Develop individualized training plans that address each student’s specific support and learning needs, focusing on nurturing their talents and fostering a distinctive artistic style.
- Create and Revise Teaching Materials: Design, evaluate, and update teaching and learning resources to ensure Artability sessions effectively impart essential knowledge and skills for meaningful engagement in visual art, particularly for students transitioning to post-18 education.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including the IEP team and caregivers, adopting a multidisciplinary approach to support students’ growth and enhance learning outcomes.
- Document Training Progress: Maintain systematic and timely documentation of students' training progress and outcomes, ensuring that individual needs and developmental strategies are carefully tracked and addressed.

**Student Engagement and Support**
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes creativity and self-expression among students.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students, addressing their unique needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with school staff and caregivers to integrate visual art into students' overall development plans.

**Project Management**
- Organize and manage art-related projects, including exhibitions, workshops, and community events, to provide students with real-world exposure.
- Coordinate logistics for art shows, including venue selection, setup, and promotion of student artworks.
- Evaluate project outcomes and gather feedback to improve future initiatives.

**Collaboration and Advocacy**
- Work closely with the Advocacy and Community Engagement (ACE) team to showcase student artworks and promote awareness of their capabilities.
- Participate in community outreach efforts to highlight the impact of art education for students with special needs.

**Job Holder Requirements and Major Challenges**

**Qualifications**
- Degree holder minimum or a good Diploma in Education, Special Education, Design and/or Art

**Experience**
- Prior experience working with persons with special needs a plus but not mandatory
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and design softwares
- Strong understanding of commercialization of art and the art industry

**Major Challenges**
- An Artability Trainer may face challenges in tailoring approaches to accommodate the diverse needs and skill levels of students with disabilities while overcoming possible communication barriers with them and their caregivers. Managing behavioral issues and emotional regulation can also disrupt the learning environment, and resource limitations may hinder access to appropriate materials. Collaborating with various stakeholders further complicates the role, requiring flexibility and effective communication.
