The Lab of Microbial Genomics of LKCMedicine, based in Experimental Medicine Building on Nanyang campus, is run by A/Prof Eric Yap. The overall goal of the research group is to characterise the microbiological diversity in the urban environment and understand its role in antibiotic resistance, in order to develop new surveillance, diagnostic and treatment approaches.

Key Responsibilities:
- Modify, optimize, validate and maintain multiple units of lab pipetting workstations- Generate and analyse microbiological and genomic data from these systems for publication- Write and edit SOP, and conduct user training- Maintain a bioengineering section of lab

**Requirements**:
- BSc or BEng-equivalent or higher in Bioengineering, Biology, or related fields.- Preferably at least 2 years of experience in a research laboratory at undergraduate level or higher- Relevant experience in microbiology techniques including bacterial culture. Basic skills in C and Python programming as well as 3D printing.- Prepared to undertake research administration tasks, including procurement, maintain laboratory SOPs, maintain instruments, etc.- Willingness to guide and train students and collaborators- A good sense of initiative and organization and ability to work in a team
