Temporary Steersman

**Job Summary**:
The Steersman primary task is to drive the company launch (service boat) to transfer the service engineers safely from pier to ship and vice versa. Other duties include safeguarding and regular maintenance of the company’s launch.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure Service Engineers are safely transferred from pier to ship on daily technical service tasks
- Maintain a safe working environment onboard company launch
- Maintain good housekeeping onboard company launch
- Ensure good safety practices are maintained onboard company launch
- Ensure regular maintenance checks on engine and other equipment on company launch to ensure all equipment is in good working order/condition
- Other duties and tasks may be assigned

**Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills**:

- Licensed and experience driving of engine powered/jet-propelled pleasure craft within the port limits.

**Education/Certifications**:

- Secondary Education
- Powered Pleasure Craft Driving License from Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore.

**Physical Working Environment**:
This position works on craft and near to vessels. Therefore, the position is exposed to weather typically associated with working on board ships and outdoors conditions
