The department

The Penningtons Manches Cooper Commercial Dispute Resolution team is a busy, dynamic and growing team, which enjoys a great quality of interesting and high profile work. The team is forward thinking and innovative and is always looking to improve and enhance its existing high standards of client service.
Having embraced Agile working, the team provides a welcoming, open and collegiate environment in which everyone is encouraged and supported to realise their individual potential and contribute to the team’s growth and development.
The Singapore office is a well established team of Maritime, Energy, Trade and Commodities dispute resolution lawyers and a recently established corporate team (specialising in energy and infrastructure). This hire is part of a wider strategic development of the Singapore office with the firm also looking to hire technology and innovation, construction and infrastructure and banking lawyers. This is an opportunity to be part of the development of the firm in the Asia-Pacific region, with the benefit of a supportive and well resourced network of DR lawyers throughout the firm.

Summary of role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Dispute Resolution Partner with particular expertise and experience in international arbitration to join the team in our Singapore office and help lead the expansion of our commercial arbitration practice. After a strategic review, the firm is committed to expanding its capabilities in this technical and geographic area and so this is a key strategic appointment for the firm.
