**SUMMARY OF THE ASSIGNED DUTIES, INCLUDING GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POST**
The mission of the INTERPOL Cybercrime Intelligence Unit is to maximize our efforts, analysing data and producing actionable intelligence products relating to cyber-criminal analysis including malicious cyber actors, cyber threats, cyber-enabled criminality, and trends for the benefit of INTERPOL’s member countries’ police entities. In pursuit of that mission, the Cybercrime Intelligence Officer, under the supervision of the Coordinator of Cybercrime Intelligence Unit, is responsible for assessing and analysing all available information sources to produce clear reasoned and assessed tactical analysisreports capable to counter worldwide cyber threats.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES**
The post holder’s main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
DUTY 1/Mission 1: Research and Analysis
- Conduct research, analysis and produce tactical and actionable intelligence reports and assessments relevant to any cybercrime or cyber-enabled threats.
- Perform cybercrime threat analysis, alerting, and reporting based on intelligence gathered from both internal and external sources.
- Conduct research using multiple data sources, perform analysis and produce analytical reports on the structure, scope and nature of cyber-criminal organizations and/or cybercrime activities in support of operational decision making by IPSG (including INTERPOL Regional Bureaus), member countries’ law enforcement organizations or INTERPOL’s partner organizations, on targeting, case-building and/or suppression of cyber-criminal organizations or cybercrime activities.
- Actively monitor and research cybercrime threats to identify incidents of significance through fusion of contemporary and historic threat data.
DUTY 2/Mission 2: Expertise
analysis as a law enforcement support tool, particularly at INTERPOL General Secretariat (including Interpol Regional Bureaus), and within member countries’ law enforcement organizations, and if prioritized, at other INTERPOL’s partner organizations.
- Provide cybercrime threat analysis to support the Cyber Directorate’s operational support team.
DUTY 3/Mission 3: Other
- Perform other tasks, related to cyber-criminal intelligence analysis, deemed appropriate by management.
- Perform any other duties as requested by the hierarchy.
**QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS**
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIRED
- Three to four years’ university degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- At least three years’ experience in performing cyber or cybercrime threat intelligence analysis or investigation This could mean work as an analyst in a law enforcement organization, or experience as a researcher/analyst in another organization dealing with cybercrime-related issues, intelligence analysis or contemporary international cyber security threats.
LANGUAGES
- Fluency in English required. Fluency/proficiency in more languages such as Russian, Chinese (Mandarin), Arabic or other languages would be considered as an additional asset.
ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Strong ability to exploit the Internet and other electronic sources for the collection of open source information relevant to criminal intelligence analysis would be considered an asset.
- Strong cyber security analytical and situational awareness skills.
- Strong understanding of the tools and sources available to conduct cyber threats analysis.
- Strong ability to produce sound, contextualized, fact-based intelligence reports, and to cogently describe conclusions based upon logical analysis.
- Strong computer skills required. Proficiency in standard office word-processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software required.
