**Job Description**:
Website testers are responsible for testing the functionality of websites. They commonly use a variety of tools and techniques to simulate real-world user behaviour, such as navigating through different pages or interacting with various elements on the page.

Website testers may also be tasked with identifying any bugs or errors that they encounter during their testing process. This might involve taking detailed notes about what happened and how it happened so that developers can later identify and fix the problem.

Objective of this Role
- test and evaluate the performance of a site on the internet
- ensure that the work that is produced by the Web Development team is of a high quality and directly meets the needs of the business

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Testing websites for usability and reporting bugs or usability issues to developers
- Testing different browsers and operating systems to ensure compatibility
- Reporting on website performance and user experience
- Recording videos of sessions while browsing websites to help identify problems with navigation or user experience
- Recording data on session length, page views, click rates, and other metrics to track website performance over time
- Testing new features before they are released to the public to ensure they meet design specifications
- Exploring new websites to find out what they offer and how they work
- Reporting any security risks or website errors to the appropriate department for resolution
- Providing feedback about design elements such as colour schemes and layout choices to improve the site’s aesthetics.

Skills and Qualifications
- High level of IT literacy
- Ability to define test cases from functional requirements
- Expert in cross browser/environment testing
- Experience of specific tools and processes used in web software testing
- Knowledge of web standards and technologies including accessibility compliance
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to “think outside of the box”
- An aptitude for ongoing learning and ability to develop skill sets
- Professional, positive and results oriented approach
