It is a lean work team consisting of social work practitioners, who manage a diverse range of cases addressing issues including homelessness, financial hardship, employment difficulties, lack of access to education and basic needs, system barriers, caregiving stress, etc. The team also manage cases and referrals to and from other CWS centres, depending on the needs of the clients and relevant services catered to their needs. The team expects individuals to be self-motivated, have the flexibility and adaptability to operate in their work functions with mínimal face-to-face supervision, and have the passion to serve clients in a timely and empathic manner.

This role is an opportunity for a Social Worker, who is passionate to contribute to empowering disadvantaged individuals and families in working towards improvement in their lives. In this role, you will be reporting to the Principal Social Worker and assigned supervisor, and work collaboratively with the social work team to work towards elevating professional standards and service delivery to better serve CWS’ clients. You will also be provided on-the-job training and regular clinical supervision to guide you in achieving key professional competencies.

You will:

- Work collaboratively with clients and community stakeholders, in a systemic approach.
- Use a trauma-informed care approach to engage clients/families professionally and therapeutically.
- Provide clients with relevant information and make referrals to external agencies.
- Manage cases that require one-off, short
- to medium-term financial or social assistance.
- Conduct assessments for intake triage for CWS programs and shelter referrals.
- Conceptualize cases and co-construct intervention plans with clients, and recommend clients for the relevant assistance.
- Conduct face-to-face assessments, case sessions, make phone calls, home visits, and site visits as part of case management work.
- Respond to clients/Carry out interventions in a timely manner according to professional standards.
- Perform accurate documentation (i.e., case recordings, social reports) relating to case work and input in designated IT system in a timely manner.
- Advocate for clients in helping them overcome system barriers and ensure they have equal opportunity to access relevant social services with mínimal prejudice.

**Requirements**:

- A *Degree/Graduate Diploma/Masters in Social Work.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a Family Service Centre, or any Social Service Agency.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Conversational in any second language/dialect.
- Willingness to comply with Social Work ethics.
- Willingness to work with vulnerable clients without prejudice, including but not limited to, elderly, homeless individuals, persons with mental illnesses and disabilities.
- At least moderate level of competency in operating IT systems (i.e., Microsoft Office, Outlook, Salesforce, Zoom). Minimally, you must be willing to learn and operate the mentioned IT systems independently.

- Flexible as you may be deployed to different CWS offices for work or be given job roles beyond those outlined above.
- Possess a good learning attitude.
- Receptive to constructive feedback and willing to work towards improvement.
- Able to adapt quickly to changes/improvement in work processes.
