The Operational Pricing Specialist’s (OPS) primary responsibilities for the overall product and operational pricing reporting into the Head of Operational Pricing Asia Pacific, partnering with the Sales, Category Management and other teams, delivering insights that will help shape our products, pricing and commercial offer to customers. Creating a unified strategy yet ensures flexibility in execution of sales pricing and contributing key commercial insights, analytics and distribution pricing levels to maximise business growth, profitability and return on investment for ZF.
Your role:
- Build new and maintain existing sales price models, review existing revenue streams working with the sales team in preparing price lists for customers and special inquiries
- Implements and communicates prices to customers
- Analyse, monitor the effectiveness of currency rate changes, and influence sales performance, with a commercial understanding of pricing and margin management activities (raw material risk, conversion cost modelling, FX risk management, margin segmentation)
- Prepare price variation proposals with appropriate strategy and justifying data
- Rigorously track performance, intervene to address underperformance and share insights across business
- Accountable for volume and margin performance vs plan
- Proven commercial acumen, with the ability to assess the short term and long-term business approach.
- Stays up to date with industry and competitor trends enabling ZF to grow market share through commercial sound offers or agreements
- Leads and completes pricing analytics needed for new to range, business quotations and customer enquiries
- Provide price comparison surveys between our major market competitors for domestic and international customer contractual requirements
- Analyse customer purchasing volume relating specifically to overall profitability
- Support the review, analyse and recommend commercial terms for customer contracts
- Supporting commercial initiatives with budgeting and forecasting of future pricing and margin models
- Provide data driven insights, financial projections and recommendations detailed review, reporting on monthly
- Prepare financial reporting on margin performance against budgets and forecasts
- Prepares pricing recommendations and ensures that they are consistent with the overall growth and underwriting global pricing strategy/policy & best practice processes
Your Profile:
- Minimum of 3 years business/commercial experience in automotive segment
- Advanced expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, written and verbal
- Experience presenting complex information to a variety of stakeholders
- Experience in working with large/complex datasets
- Analyse the commercial impacts of pricing tactics and understand commercial terms & conditions
- Distribution, local market and industry understanding is an advantage
- National account or tender experience
- Customer focus to assist in retaining clients and meeting deadlines
**Salary**: From $4,000.00 per month
