Trading Analyst

**Trading Analyst (M/F/d)**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Lead the East of Suez analysis for oil product and biofuel markets
- Track key short-term developments in products markets, including arbitrage economics, vessel tracking, stock positions and competitor activities
- Provide support to the overall assessment of markets and economic fundamentals across the oil industry (including crude, refining, shipping, and product markets)
- Support the trading team with ad hoc analytical requests
- Support in analysis of business development opportunities in the region

**Qualifications**
- Degree in relevant studies including economics, finance
- Lack of formal background can be compensated for by extensive relevant experience

**Experience**
- 2 - 8 years’ experience in market analysis, preferably in commodities or oil

**Skills / Competencies**
- Very strong analytical and database management skills, visualization (PowerBI) and experience in programming (e.g. Python) is considered a key asset
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in, and with, multicultural teams
- Strong interests in oil and biofuel markets and an inquisitive mindset
- Ability to thrive under pressure

**Others**
The role will report jointly to the Head of Analytics based in Hamburg, and have direct engagement with the Sustainable Fuel book traders based in Singapore.
