The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020 and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3.2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time.

Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

As a Social Media Intern, you will work alongside the Brand, Communications, Marketing & Experience team to crystallise this positioning. Through content on social media and community platforms, we will transform the way a financial services brand engages with the public.

You will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge on developing content and marketing within a regulated industry, with your efforts contributing to the business and the future of insurance in Singapore.

**Focus of the Internship**

Content Creation interns will develop a strong foundation in content marketing. You will have the opportunity to create content for Singlife’s social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook), gaining first-hand experience on what it’s like to keep a brand’s online communities engaged. You will learn how to measure success in social media content for brands and ways to develop a content strategy that helps attain that success.

There will be opportunities for interns to get involve in brand campaigns, contribute to brainstorms, conduct analytics to unearth insights, and be an active member of the Brand, Communications, Marketing & Experience team and more importantly, its efforts to change the relevance of insurance to the public in Singapore.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Community Management — Manage daily interactions with customers and audiences on Singlife’s social media channels, addressing their request and engaging with them to convert them into fans of the brand.
- Research and Ideation — Analyse competitor and industry content and identify trend jacking and newsjacking opportunities that are relevant to the brand and produce content that leverages them effectively on social channels.
- Content Creation — Support team in filming and producing short video content optimised for social platforms to engage and entertain audiences. Support team in producing static content, developing briefs to designers and working with them to produce creatives.
- Performance tracking — monitor and analyse performance of social content and social media engagement, then preparing reports with recommendations on how the brand can improve on its social media efforts.
- Social listening — monitor mentions of the brand and products on external online channels, developing insights and reports on audience sentiment.
