**Job purpose**

An investment consultant offers investment advices and recommend strategies based on clients’ needs and preferences. To do so, the investment consultant needs to have an excellent understanding of financial markets (including products), as well as good knowledge in portfolio construction and optimization.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Recommend investment opportunities and risk mitigation strategies to clients and relationship managers.
- Advise clients and relationship managers on latest market developments, investment opportunities and investment strategies across asset classes.
- Work closely with the investment team, to stay up to date about market developments.
- Monitor investments and provide ongoing performance reports to clients.
- The investment consultant is expected to be updated on latest developments in relevant markets, asset classes and strategies relevant secondary research and carry out proprietary research to improve risk-adjusted returns for investors.
- Maintain financial models as may be required.
- Regularly meet with investment teams, including analysts and external managers, to stay up to date about performances and market developments.
- Develop relationships with clients and expands client network in professional and social settings.
- Avoid all conflicts of interests with client portfolios.
- Ensure all clients are treated equally and ensures any potential conflicts are resolved in a clear transparent manner, in line with firm’s policies.
- Support business development by meeting with potential investors as may be required from time to time.
