NQAC (Nestle Quality Assurance Center) Singapore is situated within R&D Center and are part of the Food Safety network in Nestle. We are the competency center for contaminant analysis supporting the region of AOA (Asia-Oceania-Africa) by providing the highest quality food safety testing and playing a vital role in safeguarding food and beverage safety.

We are looking for a Laboratory Manager to manage a section in NQAC Singapore by leading a team of analysts in their daily routine as well as in their long term contribution for the NQAC. In this position, you will develop people and their competencies using people practices. Realize NQAC key objectives through NCE and lead initiatives and strategies within the section to deliver excellent customer service.at NQAC Singapore. Assist the responsible functions in implementation of instrumentations such as LC-MSMS, ICP-MS, GC-MS, etc. and provide training on techniques and related topics and provide scientific support for new methods to other laboratories in AOA.

**A day in the life of...**
- Drives Technology and Scientific business needs through networking with customers, NR and external: Deals with Critical suppliers, drives the response to business needs through networking with customers (factories), networks with NR and external for Technology and Science drive e.g. before and during method implementation.
- Build team competency through people management based on the 5 HR practices being actively involved in capability building in OMP (succession plan and PDP): People management according to 14 requirements, on boarding of new staff, Development and training plan (PDP), Hiring, capability building, succession planning with PDP to make TMs succeed.
- Efficient resource management (work force planning, missions, equipment, consumables, budget): Costing and Budget management, Equipment management, ensure workplan is executed according to plan, efficient resources management.
- Accountability on KPI performance for the team specifically on Safety, technical requirements, quality, LEAN/5S, TAT, NCE, responsibility can be delegated: Accountable for Quality, Safety, technical, KPIs and LEAN/5S.
- Uses coaching and appropriate delegation for key activities such as complaint handling, results validation, risk assessment, using NCE tools for RCA and continuous improvement. Has an oversight on contributors of KPIs
- Ensure efficient sample reception, registration, contact with customers etc. SAP transactions, troubleshooting for data transfer / LIMS system, ad hoc statistics, past data, update price list, data preparation on TAT/DDA and sample volume, review documents, training for new staff Globe training, issuing ISO reports, billing, Yearly True-up

**What will make you successful**
- University Degree with 5 years functional leadership role in Quality, laboratory preference
- In-depth knowledge of at least one contaminants analytical technique, Quality System and GLP
