Development Scientist

To optimize site manufacturing processes from laboratory to full-scale production, in support of the site's requirements.
- To identify problems in conjunction with their line manager (both simple and complex) and to deliver creative solutions by undertaking detailed investigations with other departments on-site to maximize the right-first-time rate and process efficiencies.
- To plan and organize multiple projects ranging in length from days to > 12 months and prioritize accordingly.
- To provide technical support to the production department as required, e.g. resolving manufacturing problems, process changes, etc.
- To produce samples for despatch and evaluation by customers as requested by the sales team.
- To ensure process documentation is maintained to the appropriate standard as required by the site.
- To ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with the site SHE policy and specific laboratory requirements.
- To formally record work performed in accordance with site QA systems and issue it to the rest of the business.
- To maintain verbal communications with most departments on site
- To be accountable for the health and safety of themselves and others.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in appropriate and relevant Science related fields will be considered
- Knowledge in chemical manufacturing site processes, SHE, and QA systems preferred
- Prior experience in SAP or equivalent systems is a bonus.
