**ENGIE Lab Singapore **is the research centre of ENGIE for Asia-Pacific. ENGIE Lab Singapore brings the technical expertise of ENGIE Research in APAC by developing local expertise leveraging on ENGIE Research networks and allowing access in the region to all the technical expertise developed by ENGIE Research in Europe. Bridging the gap between ENGIE Research and business units ENGIE Lab Singapore play a key coordinator/local technical support role in balancing the R&D effort and the business needs for the Group.

Based in Singapore since 2015 ENGIE Lab Singapore primarily addressed 3 technological areas: Smart-Grid, Future Industries and Cities & New Gases. In 2020 the Lab refocused its strategy to stay in line with group strategy and local context and strengthen its expertise inooling, sustainable data center, vertical farming and local energy communities including REIDS-SPORE multifluid multi-thematic platform.

**REIDS-SPORE platform** is the flagship project of ENGIE Lab Singapore. Consisting of a micro-grid that generates 550 kW of electricity, ENGIE’s REIDS-SPORE platform boasts the largest wind turbine at 100kW that can be found in Singapore as well as a hydrogen full chain for electricity and mobility. Having an electrical capacity of 50kW / 2MWh, the hydrogen full chain also includes a hydrogen refueling station with a fuel cell electrical vehicle for mobility. The site is set to be a living lab, used by ENGIE group and its collaborators, several educational and research institutes to test and develop additional solutions.

**ROLE DESCRIPTION**:
You will join the Smart Grid / Integrated Solutions R&D team specifically supporting the activities on the flagship REIDS-SPORE platform. You will contribute to ENGIE Lab Singapore’s activities by supporting the site management, mastering hands-on technical skills relating to all innovative technologies on site, and support further valorisation of the platform with regards to proof-of-concepts, prototype, and demonstration projects in APAC on topics relating to energy and decarbonisation. You will support the team to master and demonstrate innovative and low-carbon technologies for ENGIE’s core businesses.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Support REIDS-SPORE site operation manager on operation and maintenance of the research demonstrator including troubleshoorting and other technical site works.
- Support Site Operational Manager in development, organisation, management,, documentation and reporting of all site activities, including but not limited to operation and maintenance, health and safety, updates and integration of ENGIE and local guidelines and processes, site administrations, site visits and ad-hoc events.
- Lead the organisation of site visits and other site events to REIDS-SPORE including administration, logistics, coordination between site team, research team, business units, research partners and visitors.
- Support Site Operational Manager and work closely with technicians on site to upkeep equipment conditions and site conditions to ensure readiness for research and showcase.
- Develop hands-on technical skills for different technologies, and able to perform troubleshooting when needed at site.
- Support Site Operational Manager in managing overall site activities in good spirit with the technicians.
- Other miscellaneous on site requested by Site Operational Manager.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Power/Chemical/Project Engineering.
- 3 years of working experience on fieldwork.
- Must understand and has a strong interest on research, development and innovation in low carbon energy industry.
- Working experience in energy sector, experience in innovative green and smart technologies is a plus.
