Sr Mfg Systems Engineer

Role Description:

- Lead new product launch and optimization operational project initiatives and provide the automation solution.
- Lead complex operational plant troubleshooting efforts, perform the RCA, develop the corrective and preventive actions, work with stakeholder to ensure production supply.
- Perform Service Owner and System Owner roles for DeltaV at ASM. Make changes to plant control systems under GMP change control to optimize processes and maintain compliance.
- Responsible for Service Delivery, including the achievement of service agreement, cost management, supplier relationship and service fit for use.
- Responsible for Service Operations and Lifecycle management: Negotiate SLAs with business partners; Evolve service capabilities and stability; Responsible for the execution of all design, build and run service (and system) activities.
- Define, measure and improve system performance based on tangible metrics
- Develop technical solutions to complex problems requiring the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
- Direct efforts of automation contractors in the successful execution of efforts by using appropriate development methodologies to establish a PCS, BAS, PES, and MES implementation and Systems Integration that meets Operations' business requirements.

**Education / Licenses**:

- Advanced degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Life Sciences
- Doctorate degree & 2 years of directly related experience OR
- Master’s degree & 4 years of directly related experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree & 6 years of directly related experience OR

**Relevant Experience**:

- 8+ years experience in manufacturing automation, particularly in biotechnology or pharmaceutical bulk operations
- Must have experience with level 2 Automation systems and be particularly proficient in Emerson, Rockwell and Siemens technology.
- Experience with installation, administration and troubleshooting computer data networks and servers is preferred.

- Ability to translate strategic opportunities and emerging technology solutions into tangible pragmatic executable plans
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects
- Experience supporting information interfaces, data conversion and network infrastructure.
- Automation Technical Support of an operating Bulk Facility
- Working knowledge of pharmaceutical/biotech processes
- Working knowledge of GAMP software development lifecycle, ANSI/ISA-S88 and S95 industry standards
