Singapore Grocery Logistics of Singapore Pte Ltd Full time

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Grocery Logistics Singapore (GLS) a wholly owned subsidiary of FairPrice Group Supply Chain, is a well-established logistics player in the Fast Moving Consumers Goods (FMCG) segment, incorporated since January 1993. Other than being the key logistics provider for NTUC FairPrice and its subsidiaries, we had serviced the Dairy Farm Group, Royal Ahold Group (since exited from Singapore Markets) and many small supermarket chains since our establishment.

DESIGNATION : Engineer, Logistics Technology (Control)

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role which is part of the Supply Chain will be responsible for maintaining and improving existing automation capabilities, as well as developing a team of automation and maintenance technicians under the incumbent's charge.

**Responsibilities**
- Support automation maintenance team in performing regular preventive/corrective/ predictive /conditions based / ad hoc / reliability centred based maintenance on storage systems, equipment, and packaging machines that would ensure optimal operation with mínimal disruption to supply chain's operation.
- Support Automation Maintenance Lead on complex diagnostics and repair malfunctioning complex logistics and packaging equipment.
- Support installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of storage systems and packaging equipment in project phase as team representative.
- Support automation team in maintaining industrial control systems for automated equipment ( Software / hardware)
- Deep Dive and Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
- Provide engineering support for the modifications of robotic and automation systems.
- Work closely with operations and automation teams to ensure that all automation equipment and processes meet safety standards and comply with company policies.
- Support in prepare reports about system performance and breakdowns from technicians, for management.
- To be able to support Automation Maintenance Lead and technicians in identifying and resolving process related issues.
- Work with Team to formulate work instructions / safety risk assessment / Continuous improvement projects.
- Ability to calculate and identify bottlenecks in process flow to prevent bottlenecks and formulate backup plans with the operations team as a preventive measure.
- Any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree is preferable
- Major in Mechanical or Mechatronics or Automation Control
- 3 years'+ working experience in Integrator/ automation equipment manufacture/ warehouse automation project. Or 5 years+ after service experience in automation project
- Familiar with AutoCAD
- Familiar with devices in automation
- Experience in automation control products such as Siemens IPC, PLC, HMI, SCADA, TIA portal, Various drives and Software hardware.
- Able to communicate with oversea IT Online support, Hotline Software Engineers in UK, Australia, Italy and understand the steps to follow up during the troubleshooting.

- Work location: 7 Sunview Road
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am - 5:35pm (will move to rotating shift cycles in future)
