Senior Interior Designer

Position Overview:
The Senior FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) Designer in the Food and Beverage (F&B) industry is responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of interior spaces, specifically focusing on the selection, sourcing, and procurement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment for F&B establishments. Their primary role is to create functional and visually appealing environments that enhance the overall dining experience and align with the brand identity of the F&B establishment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Concept Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their vision and design requirements for the F&B establishment, considering factors such as theme, target audience, budget, and functionality.
- FF&E Selection: Source, select, and recommend appropriate furniture, fixtures, and equipment that meet design standards, aesthetic requirements, and functional needs of the F&B establishment.
- Procurement: Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors to obtain pricing, samples, and specifications for FF&E items. Manage the procurement process, including negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for FF&E procurement, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and design integrity.
- Space Planning: Collaborate with architects and interior designers to create efficient floor plans, considering spatial requirements, circulation, and zoning within the F&B establishment.
- Documentation and Presentations: Create comprehensive FF&E specifications, schedules, and presentations to communicate design concepts and selections to stakeholders, clients, and project teams.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure that FF&E installations are carried out as per design specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers or project teams, overseeing their work and ensuring the successful execution of FF&E design projects.

**Requirements**:

- Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is typically required. Previous experience as an FF&E Designer or Interior Designer, preferably in the F&B industry, is essential. Proven experience in managing FF&E projects from concept to completion is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of F&B Industry: Strong understanding of the F&B industry, including current design trends, materials, and equipment used in restaurants, cafes, bars, and other F&B establishments.
- FF&E Expertise: In-depth knowledge of furniture, fixtures, and equipment, including their selection, specifications, and installation requirements. Familiarity with industry suppliers and vendors is advantageous.
- Design Skills: Proficiency in space planning, layout design, material selection, and color coordination. Ability to create aesthetically pleasing and functional environments while adhering to brand guidelines and client preferences.
- Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage budgets, and meet deadlines. Experience in coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders involved in FF&E projects.
- Communication and Presentation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present design concepts and ideas to clients and project teams. Proficiency in design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite, is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in specifications, documentation, and quality control processes.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor junior designers or project teams. Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, interior designers, contractors, and clients to achieve project goals.

**Salary**: $5,000.00 - $9,000.00 per month
