Pr/marcom & Council Affairs- Senior Executive

**Job Brief**:
As a Marcom & Council Affairs specialist, your role will be pivotal in ensuring our narratives align with our goals and reaches the right audiences. You will also manage stakeholder communications and ensure seamless coordination of all council activities.

**Marcom Responsibilities**:

- Act as a brand guardian, overseeing brand integrity, messaging, and strategy alignment across all marketing efforts. Ensure consistent brand representation and resonance with the target audience.
- Develop and execute comprehensive, results-driven communication plans across multiple platforms, aligning with event campaigns and corporate strategies. This includes implementing online and offline campaigns for programs and initiatives, driving engagement on social media platforms, and creating and updating content on various digital channels.
- Collaborate across teams and Business Units to conceptualize and create diverse marketing materials, including eDMs, social media posts, infographics, presentation decks, newsletters, media and marketing kits, brochures etc. This includes the development of storyboards and assisting in producing video content for publicity, producing key publications like the Annual Report and SMF's magazine, and managing vendors towards high-quality and timely content delivery.
- Stay informed on industry trends to craft narratives that resonate with specific target markets.
- Monitor and analyse audience statistics and behaviours across all channels to identify and seize opportunities for enhancing engagement with our target audience.
- Manage and update the SMF website, overseeing its revamp and ensuring timely content updates.
- Oversee media relations, draft press releases, respond to media queries, and organize media events, aiming to secure favourable and targeted media coverage.
- Provide event support to Business Units, including speech writing, photography/ videography, media coverage, and any other assistance required.
- Monitor and respond to feedback queries and collaborate with individual Business Units to develop appropriate and effective replies.

**Council Affairs Responsibilities**:

- Manage all aspects of the SMF Council/Secretariat, including organizing meetings, recording and preparing minutes and meeting materials, maintain accurate Council records, such as meeting attendance, election terms, and contact lists.
- Prepare speeches and talking points for events featuring Council Members.
- Ensure that all Council affairs adhere to the Constitution and Byelaws, maintaining transparent governance.
- Facilitate the annual Declaration of Interest and Code of Conduct for Council and Committee members.
- Support the execution of AGM, EOGM, and Election activities, ensuring their success.
- Perform any ad hoc duties as needed to support the Council and mission of the SMF.

**Preferred Qualities**:

- Strong network of PR and media contacts and formal media (press) training.

**Other Requirements**:

- Degree in communications/marketing or related fields, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate communications/marketing.
- Demonstrated ability in developing corporate communications plans and campaigns.
- Events management experience is an advantage.
- Skilled in social media strategy and proficient with design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Canva), MS Office Software, and WordPress.
- A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
- Able to independently craft speeches, press releases, and develop social media content that is error-free and strategically aligned with the purpose of the campaign and overarching corporate strategy.
