**The Position**:
Lead the execution, maintenance and best practice of data management, data governance, and all related processes that support ASKAN's data strategy. The role will seek to maximize data as a valuable asset by having trusted data outputs that are created in a way that is reusable, scalable and repeatable, and ensure key stakeholders have access to reliable and trusted insights that enable the regional Human Pharma Business Unit to operate effectively. The role will ensure that these capabilities support the evolving business requirements and align with organizational strategy.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Lead the successful implementation of a Data Governance framework that ensures the accuracy and quality of the data being collected and stored is fit for purpose, and that business stakeholders trust that the quality of the data is accurate to drive valuable insight led decisions.
- Drive data initiatives across the organization for all data management activities, and champion global data management, governance, and quality.
- Work alongside local and global stakeholders to lead the design and delivery of current and future data platforms and architecture in-market.
- Ensure organisational understanding of the current data infrastructure and the roadmap for how this will continue to evolve.
- Responsible for putting in place an annual team plan that will ensure each group and all team members successfully deliver on Divisional and Dept objectives and ensure that the business is able to execute strategic decision-making in a timely fashion.
- Lead and develop an effective team that at all levels are able and committed to delivering objectives and to fostering Boehringer’s Values.
- Lead on the visualisation of data and commit to effective data storytelling that facilitates and inspires consistent data usage across all regional HP functions.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Information Management, a related field or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of professional experience.
- Demonstrable experience defining data management policies including ownership of data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Good technical knowledge of data architecture and associated technologies/frameworks:

- Modern data platforms (Enterprise Data Warehouses, Big Data & Cloud platforms)

Reporting
- Experience leading teams, including setting objectives, driving performance and embedding behaviours.
- Managing departments or teams, demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills
- Proven agile and innovative mindset, with experience working in fast-paced teams supporting critical business functions.
- Unbiased international view and inter-cultural competence
- Open minded, motivating personality with drive and initiative
- Willingness and ability to create and share knowledge
- Team player, flexible and willingness to adapt in a changing environment
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
