Inspection Engineer

As Inspection Engineer, he/she brings his/her experience/interest on materials, corrosion, and inspection. Under the guidance of the Lead Mechanical Integrity Engineer, he/she supports and develops inspection programs in accordance with local regulatory requirements, company HSEQ requirements and company best practices. He/she applies external and internal Mechanical Integrity (MI) Best Practices.

**MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support the development and implementation of the inspection and preventive maintenance program to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant (preventive / predictive Maintenance and Risk Based Inspection etc.) including site walks and onsite inspection activities.
- Support executing inspection work by working closely with inspection contractors on site including permit to work (PTW), site supervision and coordination including work order management in SAP/RBI software
- Ensure the scheduled inspection activities completed on time, especially for all MOM registered equipment, as per regulatory requirements and Arkema guidelines.
- Internal coordination with other teams in technical department, to prepare turnaround.
- Ensure high equipment reliability and integrity during plant operation, together with Operation Department and all other teams in Technical Department.
- Collect Return of Experience (internal & external), analyse the lessons learned, and ensure the best practices in implementation. Participate in RCA / 5 Why analysis, led by Reliability Engineer.

HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT, QUALITY AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
- Write/review procedures in accordance with plant policies and regulations.
- Ensure the achievement of HSEQ objectives in his/her activities.
- Ensure the definition, implementation and monitoring of HSEQ corrective actions in his/her activities.
- Makes sure, if necessary, of the inspection of the installations before restarting or using them.
- Ensure risk analysis at the work place.
- Perform close monitoring of contractors to improve general performance to achieve Zero Accident
- Participate in the HSEQ/Energy committees and the corporate Inspection reviews.

**Education**:
Bachelor degree in an engineering school (mechanical, corrosion, material or equivalent) OR Polytechnic diploma, with at least 4 years of experience.

Knowledge:

- Certification in API 510, 570, 580 is an advantage
- Technical knowledge of vessel (design, fabrication), piping, exchangers and safety valves for chemical process and good practices for inspection.
- Technical knowledge of plastics (PP/PVDF/FRP/PTFE)/ glass /ceramic (quartz) equipment and related damage mode mechanisms (as mechanical or chemical thermal resistance).
- Technical knowledge of metallic equipment (Stainless Steel, Nickel base alloy, Refractory metallic materials) and related damage mode mechanisms (corrosion, fatigue, erosion).
- General knowledge on process, chemical hazard, materials, metallurgy, welding, material resistance, and Non-Destructive Testing.
- Prior experience in TA’s in an advantage
- Knowledge of reliability tools (RCA, 5 why )
- CMMS (SAP or similar )
- Knowledge on pressure equipment inspection
- In-depth knowledge on common industry codes & MOM regulations
