**Sales Executive/Manager**
Our sales executive has to love pets and animals, an independent person with a positive mind-set, an absolutely "why not" attitude, out-of-the-box thinker and determination with success. Ready to grow with our company that is upcoming in the pet industry.
This job generally requires the ability to do the following work:
- Identify new customers by searching online business listings, following leads from existing clients, and attending trade shows and conferences
- Achieve monthly and annual targeted sales and maintain consistent performance
- Build connections and maintain lasting relationships with customers and clients to explain the products and how they benefit pets
- Carefully monitor contacts, promotional activities, and sales volume
- Help customers select pet food and accessories to meet their pet's needs, product specifications, and regulations
- Emphasize product features and explain the capabilities and limitations of the products
- Answer customers’ questions about product prices and availability
- Negotiate prices and terms of sales and service agreements
- Prepare sales contracts and submit orders for processing
- Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies and marketing information
- Follow up with vendors/partners to make sure that they are satisfied with their purchases
- Give demonstrations that highlight the beneficial qualities of the product
- Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitors' activities
- Provide regular reports on sales activities and performance to management
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
- Monitor customers' credit facilities to ensure prompt payments.
- Handle customers' complaints and quality issues as well as solving problems that arise from customers' orders.
Pet product sales representatives may also specialize in selling their designated products to a particular type of vendor, such as veterinary clinics, pet store chains, or major trade shows. Others may specialize in products for a specific species such as dogs, cats, or horses.
Successful sales representatives also have the potential to move up into a regional sales manager position, where they are responsible for supervising the sales team and providing training and support to sales representatives.
