The Role
Sustainability is the future. A fast-growing number of actors globally across governments, the private and financial sector as well as the society at large embrace the need to address environmental and social challenges.
To realise this ambition, we are creating a new role within DBS Private Bank franchise. The role will drive our sustainability strategy and implement relevant initiatives to deliver world-class sustainability solutions to our Private Bank clients.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop overarching sustainability strategy for DBS Private Bank, which aligns with business goals.
- Work with different teams within the Private Bank and the DBS Group to co-create and deliver products and solutions aligned with the sustainability aspirations of Private Bank clients, including sustainable and impact investing, philanthropy and family governance.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives and calibrating, where required, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Drive cultural change and promote mindset shifts, with both clients and internal stakeholders, through advocacy, training and sharing of best practices to de-mystify sustainability and foster collaboration.
- Manage and oversee sustainability related disclosure and communication strategy, including monitoring and reporting on relevant sustainability metrices.
- Manage relationships with key external and internal stakeholders, including regulators, industry associations, business partners and clients.
- Monitor market trends and developments in the sustainability space and provide regular updates and insights to key stakeholders.
- Contribute to sustainability-related thought leadership and marketing activities for the Private Bank including organising events and publications.
**Requirements**:
- A Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in sustainability-related fields and/or business/finance.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in the banking or financial services industry, preferably with exposure to asset management, wealth management or private banking.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders and clients.
- Willing to learn and take on operational tasks, where required.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality results and solutions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated, innovative and willing to challenge status quo, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Curious and willing to deep dive into new trends and themes in the sustainability/impact space.
