**Job Summary**:
The Account Clerk is responsible for maintaining financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with payroll, and supporting the accounting department in various tasks.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Record Keeping**:Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure completeness and accuracy of data.
- **Invoice Processing**:Prepare, review, and process invoices and payments.
- **Accounts Payable**:Manage vendor accounts, ensuring timely payment and reconciliation of statements.
- **Accounts Receivable**:Process customer payments, track outstanding invoices, and follow up on overdue accounts.
- **Financial Reporting**:Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements.
- **Data Entry**:Enter financial data into accounting software and maintain updated records.
- **Audit Support**:Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- **Communication**:Liaise with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and answer inquiries.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**:High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- **Experience**:Previous experience in accounting or finance roles is a plus.
- **Skills**:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Working Conditions**:
- Office environment with standard working hours. May require occasional overtime during peak periods.
