General Manager

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and strategic development of the company's logistics, transport, and warehousing functions. This includes managing fleet operations, optimizing delivery performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing warehousing efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

In addition, the role includes serving as **Personal Assistant (PA) to the Chairman**, which involves managing the Chairman’s schedule, coordinating key executive matters, maintaining confidentiality, and facilitating communication between the Chairman and internal/external stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Transport & Logistics Operations**:

- Oversee daily transport operations including scheduling, route planning, fleet maintenance, and driver supervision.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries while maintaining service quality.
- Manage and optimize fuel usage, vehicle utilization, and delivery efficiency.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for transport and warehouse activities.
- Develop and enforce SOPs for loading, delivery, return logistics, and vehicle maintenance.

**Fleet & Compliance Management**:

- Oversee maintenance schedules and ensure all vehicles meet LTA/NEA/WSH compliance standards.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements such as driver licensing, insurance, and transport permits.
- Lead investigations for any incidents or accidents, and ensure proper incident reporting and corrective action.

**Warehousing Oversight**:

- Supervise warehouse managers and ensure smooth inbound/outbound logistics.
- Ensure accurate stock control, storage conditions, and inventory turnover.
- Develop initiatives to improve warehouse layout, safety, productivity, and space utilization.

**Staff Management**:

- Lead, coach, and manage a team of drivers, dispatchers, warehouse staff, and logistics personnel.
- Handle recruitment, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and training needs.

**Strategic Planning**:

- Contribute to business planning and expansion strategies in logistics and warehousing services.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, operational inefficiencies, and business development areas.
- Develop logistics partnerships and manage vendor contracts.

**Customer Service & Relations**:

- Liaise with key clients and vendors to ensure smooth delivery operations.
- Resolve customer complaints related to delivery, damage, delays, or service issues.
- Maintain a strong service quality culture throughout the logistics chain.

**Personal Assistant to the Chairman**:

- Manage and coordinate the Chairman’s schedule, meetings, appointments, and travel plans.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and minutes for high-level meetings.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the Chairman and internal/external stakeholders.
- Support the Chairman with personal tasks and administrative needs as required.
