Besides getting hands-on experience researching and designing for an actual product that’s being loved by millions, you’ll receive mentorship from a dedicated mentor, through our weekly design sharing sessions, and through the connections you’ll forge with all your great new colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the UX team members- Work with Product Managers to ensure all design works meet user needs and business requirements- Conduct user research activities such as, usability testing, A/B testing, stakeholder interviews, surveys, and translate research findings into actionable recommendations- Design visual prototypes ranging from concept to interactive mock-ups on Figma- Communicate design rationale effectively to key stakeholders- Collaborate with engineers in the building of your design- Push creativity, spark fresh ideas, challenge established thinking, and discover new ways of solving a problem

**Requirements**:
- Good understanding of the UX design process- Ability to think at a high level about a complex product- Ability to communicate and explain rationale for new features and changes- Interest in using data and user research to inform design decisions- Understanding of web design. A portfolio that demonstrates your experience creating great user-centric design solutions would be a plus- Preferably able to commit to a 6 months, full time internship- Rakuten is an equal opportunity employer.
