Our **Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD)** is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Cat aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, and global service to develop and support our global dealer network and customers.

Caterpillar currently has an opportunity for a **Parts Order Analyst** based in Singapore. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for scheduling, planning and overseeing material procurement, production and delivery processes.

**What You Will Do**:

- Participates in scheduling production and delivery processes in accordance with current productivity and cost efficiency standards.
- Develops and executes material planning for a product line to ensure that all material requirements for assigned programs are met within the allocated time frame.
- Organizes the flow of materials within the manufacturing unit and the transferring of materials to and from the inventory or warehouse.
- Generates forecasts and manages replenishment planning for parts and materials to ensure specified service levels are met.

**What You Have**:
**Data Analytics**: Knowledge of techniques and processes for inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling data; ability to discover useful information, draw logical conclusions, and support decision-making.
- Collects required data through various data sources and documents them for evaluating trends and activities.
- Assists in preparing charts, graphs, tables, and other tools to represent the results obtained from data analysis.
- Utilizes designated data analysis software to analyze the data.

**Planning**: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
- Contributes to short-term operational plans.
- Anticipates and adapts to plan changes.
- Reports variances and makes agreed-upon corrections.
- Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives.
- Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information.
- Uses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems.
- Describes common bottlenecks and delays in distributions.
- Describes the role of a distribution center in the supply chain.
- Describes the basic process of moving materials or goods.

**Inventory Management - MFG**: Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.
- Follows processes to take stock, release inventory or return into processing; resolves discrepancies.
- Tracks inventory information for a specific product group or location.
- Produces basic inventory management reports for senior staff to reconcile the inventory balances.
- Performs the receiving, ticketing, checking in and distributing of inventory items for a specific location.

**Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP)**: Knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.
- Participates in developing materials requirements and costs for custom requests.
- Uses job schedule, plant and machine schedule and inventory systems to initiate and oversee jobs.
- Plans and schedules production runs for specific products and assures availability of materials.

**Materials Handling and Management**:Knowledge of material handling and management in plants; ability to perform, monitor and improve processes related to storage, transportation and handling of raw and hazardous materials.
- Assists in the responding of and dealing with emergency issues related in materials handling.
- Works with the packaging and storage of inbound or outbound materials.

**Warehouse Management**: Knowledge of the policies, processes and systems of warehouse management; ability to effectively manage one or more warehouses or distribution centers
- Assists in implementing mechanization approaches and techniques in a distribution center.
- Collects and translates the business requirements for specifications of warehouse management system
