Qualifications and experience of a facilities manager:
1) Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the fields of Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Facilities Management or equivalent,

2) Green Mark Facilities Manager,

3) Certified Fire Safety Manager, Water Efficiency Manager or Singapore Certified Energy Manager certification is an added advantage,

4) Good communication and interpersonal relation skills,

5) Strong planning and organizational skills,

6) Able to manage/execute multiple projects concurrently with minimum supervision,

Duties & Responsibilities

a) To lead and guide the facilities management team.

b) Ensure operating procedures, contractual deliverables and report regime are complied,

c) Plan and ensure the operating expenditures are within the approved budgets,

d) Managing operating costs and identifying new area for energy conservation, as well as identifying, recommend and implementing new revenue operating initiative,

e) Oversee capital expenditures or cyclical maintenance / improvement projects.

f) Work closely with integrated facilities management partners to develop preventive maintenance, risk management and the just in time facilities management strategies,

g) Maintain timely communication with clients and residents / tenants,

h) Maintaining the respective Green Mark certification for the assigned properties (if the assigned property has been Green Mark certified),

i) Review, negotiate and recommend to the Client on the purchase of electricity from private retailer (if required),

j) Cost saving measures to improve efficiency and reduce redundancies by reviewing the current work scope and deliverables / requirements with the integrated facilities management partners,

k) Active participation in business development for new assignments for the integrated facilities management services.
