The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) is seeking to hire a Research Associate to conduct comprehensive and innovative research on Energy-free Cooling. The incumbent will contribute to the exploration, development and analysis of cooling performance, providing insightful content that help to advance the knowledge of passive cooling. The role aims to deliver high-quality research outcomes that can drive the advancement in the field of energy-free cooling.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the conduct of research project with research team members to ensure completion of deliverables- Develop polymer materials with desired material properties- Thermal measurement of the developed the materials- Lead recipe design/formation- Develop and optimize recipe of cooling paint- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholder on cooling paints- Maintenance of lab or equipment or supplies that include procurement and liaison with suppliers- Assist or produce high quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings
Job Requirement- Master in Material Science, Thermal Engineering or related field.- Knowledge in thermal science- Graduate from a reputable university;- Strong understanding of research methodologies, data analysis, and statistical techniques.- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information, collaborate and build relationship.- Ability to produce technical content for publications and deliver informative presentations to diverse audience- Strong analytical and problem solving skills to analyse and interpret research data- Attention to details and a commitment to upholding ethical standards in all research activities- Passion in the field of research and a desire to contribute to meaningful projects.
