**Job Description**:
Team Leader (Engineering Manager), System Test

We are looking for an Engineering Manager for our System Test team that focuses on system validation of our Controller and I/O Platform products. These teams work with the product design teams to understand the expected functionality and performance of these products in a system.

In this role, you will still be required to do technical activities in parallel with management activities.

In this role you will be:

- Mentoring and developing 5-8 engineers including contractors.
- Supporting our active and future products and features by contributing to our future roadmaps.
- Building and reinforcing team culture
- Onboarding new hires and contractors over time
- Ensure system test activities comply with corporate and business level processes and procedures. Be responsible for helping the team think and create a continuous improvement mindset against those processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with product team Engineering managers to support time to market goals for our products.
- Develop the team and assist them with goal setting and achievement. Directly supervise a team of system test engineers by providing for their continued development, motivation, and performing performance management. Work with individuals to help them reach their full potential.
- Encourage a positive and inclusive work environment to foster outstanding performance. Work with leadership to understand and then implement the vision of a performance driven and collaborative workplace.
- Help your team eliminate non-value add work by leading improvement activities in test design capabilities and processes so your team is optimizing their deliverables.
- Be relentless in delivered quality product by tested the product right the first time.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or similar technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Motivated in the ability to contribute in product design through others than by own self effort.
- Want to be seen as a leader that motivates, coaches and mentors his/her team for successes.
- Have a track-record on developing self and others to become more capable overtime. Not afraid to identify opportunities for improvements; see improvements as a way to become high performance team.
- Keeping abreast with technologies.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Able to think ‘out of the box’. Not dependent on defined processes. Knows what and how to move forward in the absence of a defined process. Able to translate a good approach into a documented process for others to follow whenever needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in software product development with focus on test.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct people management experience.
- Demonstrated success mentoring and developing high potential early and mid-career engineers to their full potential while also delivering complex products to the field on time with a world class quality position.
- Excellent track record of developing early career talent into effective technical and people leaders
- Experience in leading / developing system testing strategies.
- Experience with Agile / Scrum way, ideally in a Scaled Agile Framework.
- Experience with continuous delivery continuous integration style of embedded development.
- Experience in industrial automation product development or related technical areas, including background with large scale manufacturing or process system automation projects.
- Experience working with global team members on multi-campus product development.
