Aquaculture Technician

**Responsibilities**

Primary work involves being a part of a team to administer vaccines to fish fingerlings.

Involve setting up on-site operations for the vaccination process, e.g. preparation of vaccines, vaccination table setup and other equipment as required for the procedure.

Able to maintain and operate a vaccination gun and inject a fish fingerling by hand.

Know how to administer simple anaesthesia for fish fingerlings.

Assists in farm operation duties as required by the company when not performing vaccination.

5-day work week. Working hours 8.30 am - 6 pm.

**Qualifications**

Entry level. No specific academic qualifications required.

Background in biology or prior experience in aquaculture a bonus.

Salary will commiserate with qualifications (expected ~ $2000-$2200 per month).

**Other qualities we are looking for**

Interest in aquaculture

Care in handling fragile materials, e.g. fish, vaccines

Able to withstand long hours on the feet (2-3 hours at one go)

Able to handle monotonous work

Good attitude towards execution of duty

Good team player and strong sense of responsibility

**Location**

Pulau Ketam, transfer via company’s ferry from Changi Point Ferry Terminal or self-drive to Lor Halus jetty. Option to stay on farm available.

**Salary**: $1,800.00 - $2,000.00 per month
