Senior Training Officer

Singapore SUN-DAC Full time

**Core Function**:
The Senior Training Officer will be responsible for the daily training provided for SUN-DAC’s clients. He/She will also be involved in assisting the Training Supervisor and Centre Manager in guiding the Training Officers.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- To use evidence based methods to train and assist adults with disabilities in ADLs (activities of daily living), CLSs (community living skills and pre-vocational skills.
- Attend to the personal needs of these adults and ensure their safety and well-being.
- Complete and submit required documentation in a timely manner.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide an individual care plan for each client.
- Assists Training Supervisor and Centre Manager to provide guidance and support to Training Officers.

**Core Work Requirements**:
**Education**:

- Min NITEC or GCE ‘O’ or ‘N’ Levels.
- Diploma graduate from relevant discipline. Or an ‘A’ level graduate with a Diploma in Special Education (DISE) from National Institute of Education.

**Experience**:

- A minimum of three years of experience working in the sector preferred.

**Special Skills**:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, volunteers, and the public. Must be self-directed and work independently.

**Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to attend training events, organisation events and agency meetings.

**Working Hours**:
Full time; 40 hours per week; with the ability to work flexible hours depending on needs and events
