Key Responsibilities:
**1. **Installation & Assembly**:
- Install, align, and assemble mechanical systems, machines, pumps, compressors, turbines, conveyors, and other rotating equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and alignment tools for accurate fitting.
**2. **Maintenance & Repair**:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment, machinery, and systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in mechanical systems and equipment.
- Replace worn-out or defective parts, such as bearings, seals, and gaskets, to restore equipment functionality.
**3. **Fitting & Alignment**:
- Fit and align components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Ensure the proper alignment of shafts, couplings, and other rotating components to minimize wear and ensure efficient operation.
- Work with bearing, gear, and coupling assemblies to ensure proper operation.
**4. **Machining & Fabrication**:
- Use lathes, milling machines, and grinders to modify parts, produce new components, or repair worn parts.
- Fabricate and weld components as required to complete repairs or modifications to machinery.
**5. **Safety & Compliance**:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Comply with project safety regulations and local industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, and other relevant codes).
- Ensure that work is completed in compliance with the project timeline and meets quality standards.
**Experience**:
- Minimum **5 years of experience **as a Millwright Fitter, with experience in the Power Plant or Oil & Gas industries.
- Experience in the installation, maintenance, and alignment of rotating equipment, including pumps, motors, turbines, and compressors.
**Skills**:
- Proficiency in mechanical fitting, alignment, and installation of mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment and machinery used in Power Plants and Oil & Gas sectors.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with machine shop equipment (e.g., lathes, milling machines, grinders) and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
