
Corporate Communications Director

Our Client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Corporate Communications Director (depending on experience/seniority) to join their organization.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and Implement Corporate Communication Strategy, creating and executing a comprehensive corporate communication strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and values. Develop messaging, key themes, and communication plans to enhance the corporate brand and reputation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, customers, shareholders, media, and industry influencers. Proactively communicate with these stakeholders through various channels to promote transparency, trust, and positive engagement.
- Media Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, develop relationships with journalists, and manage media relations activities. Craft and distribute press releases, coordinate media interviews, and manage crisis communications when necessary.
- Internal Communications: Develop and implement effective internal communication strategies to inform and engage employees across all levels of the organization. Ensure consistent messaging and alignment with company values. Oversee the production of internal newsletters, intranet content, and other communication materials.
- Brand Management: Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging, positioning, and brand representation across all corporate communication channels. Ensure brand guidelines are followed in all external and internal communications.
- Executive Communication: Provide strategic counsel and support to senior executives, including the CEO, in developing and delivering effective communication materials such as speeches, presentations, and talking points. Assist in preparing executives for media interviews and public speaking engagements.
- Crisis Communications: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage and mitigate reputational risks. Act as a spokesperson during crises and ensure timely and accurate communication to all relevant stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of communication professionals. Provide guidance, set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience (12 years or more) in corporate communications, public relations, or a related role, preferably at a managerial level, manaing a team in a large organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for various audiences and channels.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in media relations, including building relationships with journalists, handling press inquiries, and crisis communications.
- Proficiency in managing and leveraging digital communication channels, including social media, intranet platforms, and content management systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team, foster collaboration, and drive results.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the industry landscape, trends, and best practices in corporate communications.
