The Optician/Optometrist demonstrates expertise in every aspect of store operations while combining technical know-how and customer service skills to deal with the technical and retail aspects of the business.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Provide and educate customers with professional advice including proper eyewear care.
- Perform Dispensing and Refraction for customers.
- Perform lens edging.
- Perform daily shop operations, retail sales, inventory control and other relevant duties.
- Drive sales by continually identifying opportunities to achieve both personal and store goals.
- Responsible for stocking and ordering of merchandise and other related administrative duties.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma in Optometry or Certificate in Opticianry Competency (Dispensing and Refraction) Test from Singapore Polytechnic.
- Fully registered with Optometrists & Opticians Board, Ministry of Health Singapore.
- 2-3 years working experience in optical industry.
- Possess good knowledge of opthalmic products.
- Possess good customer facing and communication skills for high level of customer interaction.
- Energetic, positive, mature, analytical and passionate about optometry and strong ability to transfer knowledge and inspire people.
- Has mechanical aptitude, good vision and coordination, self-discipline, work ethics characterised by dedication and persistence. The ability to deal tactfully with patients is one of the essential qualities to become a successful optician/optometrist.
