**About the **role**
Track, review and communicate risk and compliance requirements for recruitment of new merchant propositions across the Asia Pacific Region taking into consideration standards laid down by the Card Networks together with internal policies and procedures to ensure all deals are compliant at boarding.
**What you will be doing**
- Leads and supports the organization in complying with (as well as the ongoing preparation, testing and monitoring of conformance to) the requirements of network and card brand operating rules and regulations.
- Performs evaluation of internal operations, controls, communications, risk assessments and maintenance of documentation as related to network compliance and makes recommendations for appropriate changes.
- Conducts and facilitates internal and external audits to identify, evaluate, disclose and appropriately remedy risks and deficiencies.
- Coordinates the preparation of—and may prepare document packages for—network submissions from all areas of company as well as for internal and external audits and inspections.
- May serve as point of contact for interactions with regulatory agencies for defined matters.
- Having wide-range experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
- Requires a wide-array of detailed knowledge of the payments industry.
- Has ability to interpret operating rules and broad regulations or notifications and relate them to specific business and/or technical impacts.
- Has expertise in several areas of network risk and compliance.
- Fluent in transaction flows and technical manuals.
- Proven skill in training/presenting complex information at a level appropriate for the audience.
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
- Responsible for fully understanding complex, technical and process changes that require extensive research and consultation.
- Must be articulate when presenting identified impacts and associated requirements to wide-range of IT and business units
- Must clearly communicate with networks to clarify rules, bulletins and technical requirements on behalf of internal and external clients.
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of with or through other personnel.
- Other related duties assigned as needed.
