**MTS Firmware Engineer** (CPU RAS/NBIO)**

**THE ROLE**:
Looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, experienced platform RAS (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability) diagnostics engineer to work on platform RAS solutions for AMD’s cutting-edge products.

**THE PERSON**:

- Post Silicon diagnostics development & validation.
- Expertise in C++ programming.
- Good understanding of Server RAS architecture and Framework flows.
- Experience in DDR (Double Data Rate)/PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect express) Error injection, error detection and error recovery.
- Good understating of Machine Check Architecture, Error Checking and Correcting, Cyclic Redundancy Check, Dynamic RAM Scrubbers, PCIe Advanced Error Reporting etc.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Development & Testing of RAS diagnostic test cases for AMD SoCs.
- Debugging of the test case failures and reporting them to the design team.
- Involvement in test planning of RAS diagnostics.
- Effective collaboration with stakeholders across the globe.

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE**:

- Understanding of PC Hardware, SoC, Chipsets, Graphics cards, BIOS etc.
- Knowledge of x86 software architecture.
- Hands on experience in Linux OS internals.
- Solid knowledge of software development life cycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.

**ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS**:

- Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years or Master’s with 3-5 years of experience in RAS or similar domain.
