Head of Qc/qa

1. Manage the efficient and effective operation of QC Laboratory and QA functions.

2. People management:
Lead and manage QC team to ensure that raw materials and flavour products meet quality standard and requirement. Define responsibilities and provide clear direction to the team so as to align with the set target and company objective. Monitor and guide the team to improve their capability to fulfil requirements of their quality responsibilities. This includes provide coaching, training and create awareness to the team on the requirements. Retain evidences of compliances

3. Laboratory management:
Ensure proper functioning and running of day-to-day QC laboratory according to corporate method, laboratory requirements, quality and food safety management system, good lab practices (GLP), lean management skills, religious compliance, workplace safety and environmental management compliance, applicable regulatory requirements and policies.

Responsible for the stock inventory and maintenance QC Laboratory apparatus and supplier.

Responsible for the proper use and maintenance of analytical equipment. Ensure preventive maintenance and external calibration of analytical equipment is carried out duly.

4. QC management

Monitor and maintain quality control system, including responsible for approval/rejection decisions on finished products, intermediate bases and raw materials.

Lead sensory evaluations and troubleshooting of flavour products and raw materials.

Must be able to participate in all tasting and organoleptic sensory panels without limitation.

Issue various in-house quality compliance documents such as Certificate of Analysis for products, product re-evaluation report, and fill up documents (QCQA scope) as per customer’s request.

5. QA management

Hold the position as company Food Hygiene Officer to oversee and enhance the standard of hygiene and sanitation of the premise, including implementation of environmental monitoring program.

Manage the pest management program.

Be member of the interdisciplinary food safety management team and contribute to the performance of the food safety management system in QCQA functions (lead root cause analysis, set and follow up corrective action regarding to customer complaints, internal complaints or complaints towards suppliers; report on KPI performance related to QCQA functions)

Perform raw materials and packaging supplier audit, and internal audit when required.

6. Implement and maintain all relevant quality system documentation.

7. Responsible for handling customer complaints with customer dialogue and problem resolution as well as communication on vendor issues. Identify and coordinate the appropriate resources necessary to resolve quality issues. Respond to all customer complaints in a timely manner and ensure that all quality issues raised are satisfactorily resolved.

8. Effective communication with Business units (Sales) and R&D on product quality/technical issues and new product introduction into commercial.

9. Effective collaboration with various departments especially Production and other Operation departments as well as Process Engineering on flavour technical issues.

10. Attentive to customer enquiries on product related technical/quality issues.

11. Monitor and report Flavour Quality performances required.

12. Implement continuous improvements in QA/QC functions.

13. Comply with Silesia Corporate policies and code of conducts in all aspects.

14. Carry out additional job-related duties that the Management may assign, when and where necessary.

**Qualification**:
Preferably completed and passed WSQ Food Safety Course Level 3.

**Knowledge and skills**:
Good technical knowledge in sensory, analytical and microbiology, ideally of flavour industry relevant.

High awareness of food safety culture and willing to contribute to the established food safety management system such as FSSC 22000.

Team player with strong oral and written communication skills is required. Readiness to communicate, cooperate and report to QCQA lead functions located at German Headquarters of the company.

Proficiency in the use of EDP-based LIMS-Systems, preferably familiar with functions in SAP QM-module.

Able to work independently under pressure in a fast paced environment.

**Experience**:
