**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Work with BUs to develop and deliver capital and cash plans for relevant LBUs
- Work on development and execution of capital-related solutions for the group including complex reinsurance transactions
- Work closely with group actuarial, group risk and the business units to analyse the drivers of our regulatory, stress and economic capital requirements and use this to develop solutions to optimise our capital position across these metrics
- Work closely with local business units on the development and implementation of solutions to optimise their capital position
- Support Delivery of Ascend 200 Financial Strategy leading specific capital/reinsurance related initiatives
- Assist with development of business requirements for corporate modelling framework and work with group actuarial and risk to assist them develop approaches to meet these requirements
- Pro-actively support other Group Finance functions on complex regulatory, financial or product related topics

**Financial and Non-Financial Deliverables**
- Delivery of capital and remittance targets from each BU
- Preparation of capital plans and contingency plan for the group

**Communication Requirements (Internal & External)**
- Work with BU CFOs, finance and actuarial departments on delivery of capital and cash plans
- Present complex topics to executive management, building confidence and establishing support for strategic group level initatives
- Lead management and development of group capital plans
- Work with advisers (consultants, investment banks) on development and execution of capital solutions

**Minimum Job Requirements**
- Min 8 years strong proven track record in delivering projects/initiatives/sales efforts in the insurance industry
- Actuarial qualification
- Knowledge on capital management, financial and regulatory reporting, economic and regulatory capital bases and risk management
- Strong communicator (verbal and written)
- Ability to work with senior management and technical and non-technical teams
- Good Influencing and negotiation skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Able to pro-actively navigate ambiguity and challenge existing ways of doing things to develop solutions for novel areas where no existing process or solution is yet established
- Ability to manage a cross-functional team and provide direction to these individuals
