Principal / Senior Functional Safety Engineer

Our client is a leading European MNC with more than 100 years of presence and having established their Singapore Headquarters for more than 40 years locally. We have the vacancy of:
**Principal / Senior Functional Safety Engineer
**Responsibilities**
- Point of contact for Functional Safety matters of the projects including both internal and external stakeholders. This includes all safety aspects of the project, safety responsibilities for the system and its elements (Development Interface Agreement)
- Create and maintain the Safety Case; ensure the definition of safety goals and collect evidences for compliance of the product with those safety goals
- Create the Safety Plans and maintain consistency with the overall project planning, safety activities and FSM assessments (scheduling, timing, organization)
- Monitor the progress of the project for safety related topics; escalate if risks have to be managed; create FSM project status report
- Ensure the proper implementation and verification of the safety requirements
- Create safety concepts (functional and technical) and participate in safety related reviews and technical analysis
- Support of acquisition and quote process as well as to align the system safety objectives with the customer
- Train, coach and moderate the product development team members in functional safety processes and concept questions.
**Requirements**:
- Masters or Bachelors Degree in Electrical / Electronics or related disciplines with minimum 5 year experience in embedded system development **in a system safety / software safety role.**
- Good knowledge in product development processes from project initiation to start of production.
- Knowledge in functional safety standard, i.e. ISO26262
- Good understanding of technical analysis (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
