**Position Overview**

Investment Associate role within the Asia private equity team. This hire is expected to play a key role in all aspects of our transactional investments (co-investment and secondaries) and also support on primary fund investment activity within the Asia (ex China) region. There will also be collaboration with the broader Asia and Secondaries team. This is a career track role with the opportunity for advancement within our Asia investment practice group.

**Job specification**
- Support execution of investment due diligence of Asia (ex China) private equity opportunities, encompassing sourcing, assessment, valuation and modelling of various transaction types with a particular focus on direct/co-investments, secondaries transactions, and complex structured transactions.
- Conduct industry research and develop insights relevant for Asia (ex China) investments
- Analyse, assess and support preparation of investment recommendations to the Schroders Capital Investment Committee
- Development of relationships with industry participants, including fund managers and advisors
- Support development and improvement of internal financial models and due diligence processes
- Support preparation of client pitches and requests, and development of new marketing material
- Support preparation of quarterly reports and investment updates for Schroders Capital investors

**Desired profile**
- Bachelor (Masters preferred) degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration from a reputable university ideally combined with a postgraduate training (CFA or CAIA)
- Proven financial investment experience; at least 3 years working in direct private equity investing, investment banking and/or corporate finance
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; strong financial modelling, financial analysis, and valuation skills
- Excellent communication skills (written / verbal / presentation)
- An ability to manage multiple responsibilities and time-sensitive deliverables with a high degree of quality and accuracy
- A high level of curiosity, strong discipline, and attention to detail
