YCS is seeking dynamic individuals to be part of the Programme Architect team to champion youth volunteerism. This team manages the programme design and leadership development function of Youth Corps Singapore. They design, review, deliver, coordinate and evaluate physical and online training modules to develop the capabilities of youth volunteers and leaders. Through these efforts, the team seeks to nurture these youths to become purpose driven, practical innovators, a rallying force and architects of lasting change.
**What you will be working on**
- Scope and responsibilities
You will be able to take up various roles, and hone your skills and experience in these different areas:
- Training Programme Design & Delivery - Develop and deliver Youth Corps training modules (both physical and online) for Youth Corps volunteers, leaders as well as facilitators. Incorporate training theories and a variety of learning tools such as simulations, role-play, and experiential activities to achieve the intended learning outcome(s) for youths from Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs).
- Training Coordination - Select and work with training partners to design and deliver training modules (physical and online).
- School Partners Engagement - Work with IHL partners to identify learning needs and coordinate training programmes.
- Training Evaluation - Conduct after action reviews to collate feedback to assess the effectiveness of training programme(s). Analyse data to evaluate if the training achieved its intended outcome to enable informed decisions to be made for future trainings.
- Community Service Project Mentor - Guide youths to create impactful and sustainable community service projects. Work with community partners to curate meaningful service opportunities suitable for youth volunteers.
- Evaluation Data Management - Manage the survey data collection process. Guide and support co-workers to curate survey questions in accordance with NYC key indicator outcomes.
**What we are looking for**
- Requirements
- Has a background in and/or passion for community service, youth development, programme coordination, training and/or partnership management
- Competent in designing, facilitating and delivering training programmes (physical and online) with interactive and effective learning activities
- Experienced in partnership management with IHLs and Social Service agencies
- Keen and available to engage and mentor youth volunteers on weekday evenings and weekends
- Possess excellent communication and writing skills
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to work in cross-functioning teams
- Has the ability to adapt well and thrive in a dynamic environment with attributes of resourcefulness, self-motivation, curiosity and learning agility
- 1 to 4 years of relevant working experience will be advantageous
