Vice President, Business Strategy Group

**Responsibilities**:
- Strategic planning for organic and inorganic business development for countries in APAC, which includes establishing strategies with each countries and relevant departments.
- Implement business as usual, including but not limited to, regulatory & governance matters, new products and business steering in APAC branches/offices as well as managing subsidiaries
- Support logistics such as management and senior management business trips and regular reporting
- To support in establishing and/or further enhance relationships and promote business collabortions between SMBC's investee partners in APAC and SMFG
- To support independent business oriented research involving business operations of these investee partners
- To support enhancement of corporate governance for relevant investee comanoies in APAC
- Develop team members' skill and motivate others to maximize the outcome of the team
- Collaborate with relevant departments of Head Office to efficiently enhance business and governance in APAC region
**Job Requirements**
- Degree in Banking & Finance or equivalent
- Business Planning experience in banking is preferred
- Proficiency in Japanese is preferred as this role needs to create/submit regular reports to Japanese Financial Service Agency and to liaise with Head Office
- Knowledge of Japanese Banking Law is an advantage
- Strong communication skills (written/spoken)
- Good stakeholder management skills, adaptable and creative thinking
