An exciting opportunity for a** Teacher Assistant (Construction & Design Technology)** has opened in AIS. If you are someone who is driven in making a positive difference and with passion for growth and development, this role is meant for you

**Responsibilities**:

- **
Maintenance**: Regular checking and maintenance of tools, machinery, equipment and resources to maintain the safe use of items in these areas.
- **
Preparation** of materials for practical lessons as required by the staff.
- **
Classroom support**: presence in the workshop as required by teachers. Helping students with practical tasks, and with cleaning and tidying after classes as necessary.
- **
Resource management and purchasing**: receive, store and purchase equipment and resources as determined by the teachers, preparing and putting away equipment and resources for classes.
- **
Record** maintenance of all tools, machinery and equipment.
- **
Create and produce** teaching aids, furniture, jigs, formers and other resources as required by teachers.

**Qualifications**:

- A qualification in carpentry or related trade would be beneficial
- Experience of working with children in a school setting would be beneficial.
