**Senior Optics Design Engineer**

**OVERVIEW**:
Responsible for developing innovative and competitive microscope optical systems in cooperation with project teams, for introducing quality products to the market.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Design microscope optical system:

- Responsible for optical system development which includes microscope optics, digital imaging optics, and illumination optics.
- Responsible for all activities on optical systems design including optical system specification, overall system design, Optical module design and optimization, Optical system tolerancing, etc.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, provide design requirements, design support, and system alignment & calibration concept.

Optical system verification and testing:

- Support functional model, and prototype build.
- Test and evaluate all optics system performance of development products during the development cycle right from the conceptual design to product launch.

Support Optical system fabrication
- Work with hardware groups or cross-functional teams to design fixtures and the experimental setup for optical evaluation and experiments.
- Conduct experiments and testing for functional models and systems.
- Support to develop of the testing methodology for mass manufacturing
- Provide necessary product training for the manufacturing team.
- Support Cross-functional teams for problem analysis.

Microscope system lifecycle management
- Support Cross-functional teams for optical-related issues investigation and work out solutions for existing products.

Tech research:

- Explore optical-electronics new technologies.
- Define future product direction.
- Build and develop technologies that have the potential to be implement into existing or future products.

Knowledge sharing
- Mentor junior engineers with sharing optical design knowledge and experience.

Others:

- Comply and adhere to the company Quality Management System and Environment, Health & Safety requirements.

**YOUR PROFILE**:

- Masters or good bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a R&D environment, with product development focus.
