As the Research and Development Site Head, you will be key in leading R&D team members and developing strategic operations in the R&D department. You will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing all strategies related to the growth of ongoing pharmaceutical-related R&D in the company. You must ensure staffs have the training, guidance and discipline to effectively carry out their day-to-day duties, and you may handle some degree of human resources-related duties including conducting, recommending and implementing employee retention strategies. You must be able to analyse and help develop responses to technical issues and challenges as they arise and contribute new ideas to the team related to pharmaceutical R&D.

**Responsibilities**
- Directs and implements an organization’s research and development policies, objectives, and initiatives.
- Ensures research and development activities will maintain an organisation’s competitive position and profitability.
- Consults with top management and research and development team and makes recommendations based on research findings and product performance.
- Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
- Scale-up and optimization of manufacturing process; execution of pre-exhibit and exhibit batches; scale up and technology transfer from R&D to production to meet timelines.
- Plan and contribute to project-related scientific/technical activities (e.g., interpret results, critical assessment of data, draw relevant conclusions, and write reports).
- Provide required current feedback to R&D advisory board about current and future path of R&D organization’s roadmap.
- Interact with Lines of Business in team approach to translate company strategic vision into successful R&D products crossing multiple lines of Business within company.
- Provide focus to individual team members, report results and risks to management and respond to team needs.

**Requirement**
- At least 10 years experiences in the healthcare or life sciences industry.
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree is required.
- Experience in oncology and mRNA technology is a must.
- Familiar with T-cell receptor (TCR)-based adoptive therapy.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills.

Proven ability to leverage understanding of the emerging healthcare environment to create the platform for change and to meet demands for evolving management solution.
